[MEDIA REVIEW]: Gelato @ Da Paolo’s MBS Gastronomia

Kicking off the brand new month with toothsome gelato. October ain’t just about Halloween, ya know? Well, easing sweet tooth is part of it.

Just came to know that Da Paolo Gastronomia has branched out to  Marina Bay Sands.

With that, Da Paolo has brought in authentic Italian gelato from Chocolat, a renowned artisanal gelato producer in Milan. With more than 60 years of experience, Chocolat uses only premium ingredients and eight types of cocoa from all over the world in their locally handmade gelato. Because they lived so close to Chocolat’s gelateria while they were in Milan, Paolo and his family became regulars there. They enjoyed the gelato so much that they decided to work with Chocolat and sell the product at Gastronomia @ MBS for themselves, and everyone else in Singapore, to enjoy good Italian gelato. Quality craftsmanship by a group of their Italian gelato chefs and entrepreneurs since 1965 also ensure you get the taste of true Italian flavour.

Da Paolo Gastronomia was born out of the desire to make great-tasting food easily and readily available to everyone, even the busiest of them all. The concept combines a gourmet cafe with all-day dining and retail, and offers an array of freshly made food that may be eaten in or taken away. Gastronomia is known for its signature oversized croissants, scones, and Crodos™ (its own croissant-donut hybrid); Founder/Chef Paolo’s Tiramisu that has been on the menu at Da Paolo since it first opened in 1989; super-sized, colourful meringues and N-cake, a decadent Nutella-based dessert. A savoury Gastronomia bestseller is the Beef Lasagna that consists of fresh pasta sheets made using a traditional pasta machine utilised by Paolo since 1989. Another popular item is our Pizza al Taglio, served in rectangular slices and topped with premium ingredients for a substantial snack or a quick, easy meal. Guests can also choose from a large, inviting display of about 25 freshly prepared main and side dishes, a recognisable element of Da Paolo Gastronomia outlets. Gastronomia has six outlets located at Orchard Paragon, Cluny Court, Raffles Place, Holland Village, Raffles City and most recently, Marina Bay Sands. This brand new outlet officially opened on 29 July 2017, and is located at the iconic The Shoppes @ Marina Bay Sands, opposite the lotus-shaped Art Science Museum with a view of the Bay.

Out of 12 interesting flavours, I chose Nutella 🙂
