Koh Lipe 08/11: Swim With The Fish, Jom!

Ever wonder how bad tans can go or maybe to what extend? :) Oh, nevermind. I am never afraid of the sun. Best part of the trip when everyone else had fun in the water, with the fish.

Its tiring to do without the life jacket and the next mo when I lift my head, I realised that I am way too far from the boat and the group. The current were kinda strong yet, good enough for a day to be in the water.PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

Love my nails, they go with my top :P Photobucket

… and the grumpy me!Photobucket

Snorkeling is actually fun. I enjoy every bit seeing the group and fishes swimming. Just that the corals are scary. They really are. I still feel that corals look like a chunk of rotten potatoes and waiting for their prey but I still wanna do it again :) Wonder when would be next :P

Koh Lipe 08/11: Breakfast in Lipe

Waking up to clear blue sky and crystal clear sea. Breakfast overseeing the deep blue sea.

Since we were heading out to the see, I decided not to bring my cam along. No hp, no camera! Yea, don’t be surprise but I really did survive without those two. But when I saw the sunset, I went … !!! *hit head* Why din I bring along my camera? Lucky thing Alfonso brought his with him and best part was he wasn’t using it!

We were kinda late for dinner. After washing up, yadda-yaddi, we were all ready by half-pass nine? Gosh! Places started to close and all, couldn’t get a place for dinner but one! Well, we were left with no choice anyway.Photobucket

Wine, fried rice and a night filled with laughters.PhotobucketPhotobucket

Welcome to the Bundhaya Resort. A place where there is no reception and purely depending on the satellite :) I dozed off right after dindin, after a long day out to the sea, guess I should be gearing myself up for the next day, a day to snorkel till the sun sets.

Koh Lipe 08/11: Stepping into Koh Lipe

Just as how much fun we had last night on the foot massage, we then packed and geared for the next morning to head to Koh Lipe. Seriously, I have not heard of this island before. It took approximate 2-hour to reach the jetty where you need to catch the ferry over to the island. It really made me ponder, what is there on that little island topping up the fact that we are going over during the off-peak season. Needless to mention, I dozed off the entire 2-hour journey. As usual, I’ll catch some sleep whenever I can when am travelling.

Upon getting off, while waiting for the next ride which took us approximately 2hours. In high seasons which is from November till May, Koh Lipe, a small island located at the Southern part of the Andaman sea can be reached from several destinations across the Andaman Sea. Well, at the same time, Koh Lipe can be reached all year from Pak Barra. You can also reach Koh Lipe from Langkawi! Not too sure how long it will take but all in all, its reachable :)  Koh Lipe is also part of a smaller cluster of islands called the Butang Islands or Adang Archipelago.Photobucket

Urmmm…The fishermen

The wet-exhausting ride. Gawd!Photobucket

A wet ride. Really! Just look at my hair!Photobucket

… and this is how I look like before the ride.PhotobucketPhotobucket

Welcome to Koh Lipe! You gotta really check out your timings to visit this island. The peak season would be from December to February, where as the May to November would be the low season and hence November to May would be the high season. Therefore, on the safe side, it would be best to Pak Barra as the ferries are running all year round.

Check out how we were transported!Photobucket

Once we dropped our stuffs in the room, the boys were anxiously all geared for the sea and the sun, with the highest SPF sunblock applied from head to toe.
Photobucket

Beautiful beach and we will be heading out to the sea for fishies. We need dinner too :) Photobucket

Come get the pack of baits from me :) Little did I know Koh Lipe was affected by Tsunami as well.

Photobucket

I can’t remember what I was laughing at. I’m sure its something really funny!Photobucket

The quiet, beautiful island! Guess what, Koh Lipe has some great snorkelling and diving sites around the Adang Archipelago. You know I won’t miss that out, don’t you? :D Koh Lipe
