Penang Heritage Food Trail : Joyous Cafe

Joyous Cafe would be our second stop in Penang Heritage Food Trail. After so much of pastas and pizzas, we were served with fruit juices, finally time to detox. I was really attracted by the polka dots interior. Simple and cute what more when its entirely pinkish!

Snowman Tong Pak Fu

If you are someone who loves dessert, then 糖伯府 Tong Pak Fu would be the place that you might wanna spend some time on. There are variety of cold desserts ranging from glutinous balls to watermelons. The newly open Snowman Tong Pak Fu is located along Cantonment Road, which you might probably have had stumbled upon one over at Raja Uda. It is easily spotted anyway, located right opposite the Pulau Tikus Maybank Branch.

Anyway, it was another lucky day for me when I get to head out and try some new stuff on the island.

The Grand Opening of Tea Secret

Tea and fruit based beverages are being the in-thing to be held in hands. Speaking of thirst quencher, well, it might come to mind that these are the first beverages that cross your mind. On such an auspicious day, 11-11-11, Tea Secret has chosen today for their Grand Opening at Queensbay Mall. Its located in between Kenny Rogers Roasters and Yataimura.
Photobucket

There are variety of choices ranging from Milky Premium Tea, Around The World, Nutrilicious Yogurt, Natural Fruit Tea, Latte Series. Milk Cream Tea, Frozen Indulgence, Delicious Chewy Tea, Yakult Tea and Smoothie Delights. When it came to my turn to place my order, I was entirely spoilt with choices knowing not which to go for. All the names seemed yummilicious. Aside from picking your desired drink, you also need to decide the sugar options or I would say the degree of sweetness in your drinks. You can opt for 0%-No Sugar, 30%-Slight Sugar, 50%-Half Sugar, 70%-Less Sugar to 100%-Normal Sugar. As a starter, I would suggest you to go for 50%-Half Sugar, fair play. There are two sizes available; 500cc and 700cc.

Photobucket

Oh, my! Such a sweet night. Aside from the beverages, there were so many tarts, cream puffs and some brownies prepared for the guests. I was indulged and it was love at the first bite when I had the Blueberry Cheese Tart. Well, there were many colourful tarts just that I am a blueberry person :P Photobucket

To ease your sweet tooth, you might consider dropping by at Tea Secret.PhotobucketHaving Terry doing the mixing for me :)

Having 700cc in hand and its Hawaii Fruit Green Tea, half sugar and normal ice topping up with Konjac.

Photobucket

Konjac turned out to be something new to me. Well, it is something like Nata De Coco, but its a lot more chewy! Speaking of toppings, there are a few available for your pick, which are Pearl, Aloe Vera, Grass Jelly, Pudding, Ai-Yu, Coconut Jelly and of course Konjac.

and of course, I didn’t hunt for the place alone but with my feasting family :) Photobucket

Z Classroom

Ever heard of this new spot? We have Library in KL and now, Classroom appears. Imagine, when mum calls to ask, “Where are you?” and all you will be telling her is that, “I’m at the Classroom?”Photobucket

Z Classroom is actually a Cafe Bistro, which serve both coffee as well as imported beer like Franziskaner WeissbierKönig Ludwig WeissbierErdinger Weissbier Dunkel, you name it. Different cakes are served daily and I would consider myself as lucky nuff’ to enjoy three different slices of cakes on the house, all thanks to Calvin, the young owner of Z Classroom. There goes, Rum, Tiramisu and Blueberry Cheese for tea break after spending 3 days in Laos with Angeline and Satkuru and we are back for more food hunt.

Photobucket

Credits to Angeline for the pictures. I lost my memory card :( PhotobucketThe cork board remind me so much of yesterday.Photobucket

Well, all cakes are priced at RM 10.50 per slice. Blueberry cheesecake, yummeh!

Photobucket

Some Tiramisu?

Photobucket

We got to enjoy an hot cuppa on a rainy evening. I had cappuccino. I was told that all hot coffee are priced at RM 5.90 whilst the iced ones are RM 6.90.Photobucket

Z Classroom is not just a classroom, that’s for sure. The do have a Karaoke lounge on the upper floor and a private room as well, if you wanna throw a party :)

Remember those days in school when we have itchy hands, having liquid papers in hands and start squeezing our creative juice to scribble on our desks? You can now do it here at Z Classroom.

Perhaps, some beer and Jenga?PhotobucketPhotobucket

Amelie Cafe, Armenian Street

A random Sunday afternoon. Its been a while the weather had been fine. A stroll down the memory lane. So much in mind, I know I shouldn’t complicate myself any further. Don’t you love the beauty of Penang as much as I do?
Photobucket

… and hence, am back for vintage cafe hunts again :) Guess what I have gotten myself today. Teehee. Headin’ off to a vintage cafe which has a name sounded like mine.

Photobucket

The Ceiling with many “kole”. “Kole” is actually a malay word which means mug. Those metal mugs were used in those days. You can rarely find them now but they still exist though.

Photobucket

I was just havin’ my lunch. Kinda late though. Have been wanting to try this place out. Finally :)

PhotobucketPhotobucket

Some Earl Grey?

Photobucket

… and I love this! Banana Orange Blended!Photobucket
